A little kid tries to understand gay marriage

Videos of parents exploiting their kids tend to annoy me a bit (see: Crying Justin Bieber Girl). But this video is pretty awesome. It’s a video of a young boy, no older than 5, trying to understand gay marriage after witnessing it for the first time.

I would like Calen to explain other adult concepts to me, too. Not because it’s adorable, but just because I figure it’ll be easier to understand that way.

But overall, there’s no denying that this video is just adorable. Less adorable: That I have the same reaction every time I see a gay couple in public. Even less adorable: While masturbating.

Gird your loins for the Megan Fox photo of the year

Megan Fox struck a pose for Harper’s Bazaar that is going to make your freaking day. Hell, your month… You just have to brace yourself before seeing it. Ready? Go! Now here’s the twist: The photo you see above was an outtake. The rest apparently made it into the magazine, but that photo didn’t. I guess the editors of the magazine figured that their readers, women, I assume, wouldn’t be interested in a photo of Megan Fox with her ass in the air and saved it for us, the Internet public. All in all, probably the right call.

Korean man marries pillow girlfriend

God bless the east Asian countries; they won’t back down from love, no matter whether it’s with a large body pillow, a video game character, or tentacle rape. So begins the journey of love undertaken by a Korean man who fell in love with a Japanese body pillow and made it his wife.

Lee Jin-gyu fell for his ‘dakimakura’ – a kind of large, huggable pillow from Japan, often with a picture of a popular anime character printed on the side.

In Lee’s case, his beloved pillow has an image of Fate Testarossa, from the ‘magical girl’ anime series Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha.

Now the 28-year-old otaku (a Japanese term that roughly translates to somewhere between ‘obsessive’ and ‘nerd’) has wed the pillow in a special ceremony, after fitting it out with a wedding dress for the service in front of a local priest. Their nuptials were eagerly chronicled by the local media.

‘They go out to the park or the funfair where it will go on all the rides with him. Then when he goes out to eat he takes it with him and it gets its own seat and its own meal,’ [a friend] added.

Who are we to mock a man for finding love, no matter how ridiculous and creepy the circumstances are? Don’t get me wrong, this guy is an absolute freak and I certainly wouldn’t ask him to babysit my kids (especially if they were particularly comfortable), but hey, the guy is happy. And isn’t that what it’s all about? Unless you’re in America, in which case you better not be marrying someone whose genitals bear a resemblance to yours because that’s just too ludicrous to even process.

So to you, Mr. and Mrs. Jin-gyu, I wish you nothing but the best. May your first child be a down-filled child.

Sports pic of the day

Dare I say we might have a legitimate NBA rivalry? In Sunday’s Magic/Lakers game, there was actual fire and animosity between two players. Rarely will you see that in a non-playoff game. Hugs at half-court and joking around with opponents have been the norm for years.

And while Matt Barnes at first seemed like just an agitator and a thorn in Kobe Bryant’s side, he’s now gone to comedian extraordinaire on Twitter.

His tweet from this morning is in response to Lamar Odom calling him a monkey. Pretty sure this constitutes getting messed up.
